 Parents' PageText Box: Tips For Parents · I give homework 3-4 times a week, so you should see the book at home. Check out the Practice Links page for pictures of the book!   · You can help you son or daughter study Latin! Help him/her make flash cards or quiz them using the stage vocabulary sheets.   · Students in Latin I have 1 vocabulary and derivatives quiz and 1 end of stage quiz each week and a half. Latin II students have the same quizzes over 2 weeks. They are always announced well ahead of time.   · I offer help most mornings (7:50 am) and afternoons (3:30 pm). Students may sign up on the calendar in my room.   · Feel free to e-mail me with any questions or comments. I’m able to respond much more quickly to e-mail than phone calls.   · Generally I don’t allow students to take quizzes home. I keep all quizzes at school for test security and as a resource if there is ever a question over a grade.  Students are welcome to come and review quizzes with me.   · Encourage students to make up quizzes and homework ASAP! Students generally do worse the longer they wait.   · My Latin II students have organized a study group and help session that is open to all students on Monday afternoons. They are eager to help Latin I or II students!   · Please encourage your students to study actively, by writing, speaking, drawing or using flash cards. · Grade Profile:              Quizzes                       70%              Homework                  20%              Final Exam                 10%
